Net worth tracker · Free in the beta
Net worth tracker for every account, asset and debt you have
Finman adds up your account balances, investment portfolios, savings goals and the things you own, subtracts what you still owe, and shows one net worth figure in your base currency. Save a snapshot and the change since your first one appears next to the total.
What it does
One figure: what you own minus what you owe
Finman’s net worth tracker totals what you own (account balances, investments at their latest Stooq price, money saved toward goals, and property, vehicles or other assets you add) and subtracts the remaining balance of every debt, all converted into your base currency. It sits in the Free plan, and during the open beta every Finman feature costs $0.

What’s included
What goes into the total, and what you see
Most of the figure comes from data you already keep in Finman for budgets and debts. Anything that lives outside an account you add once as an asset.
- 01
Assets already in Finman
Balances of your active accounts, each investment portfolio at quantity × latest price (the buy price until a quote arrives), and the amount saved in each savings goal.
- 02
Things outside your accounts
Add real estate, a vehicle, crypto held elsewhere, precious metals, collectibles, a business or anything else as a manual asset, with its value, currency, purchase date and purchase price. Update the value when it changes.
- 03
Liabilities
The remaining balance of every debt you track as owed by you: credit cards, loans, a mortgage and money you borrowed. Log a payment in Debts and the liability shrinks by that amount.
- 04
One base currency
Every item is converted at the rate for the date. When a rate is missing, Finman counts that amount 1:1 and names the currency on screen, so you know the total is approximate.
- 05
Snapshots and the trend
Press Save snapshot to store that day’s assets, liabilities, net worth and breakdown. One snapshot is kept per date; saving again the same day replaces it. With two or more snapshots, Finman shows the change in money and percent over the past year, and the Net Worth report in Reports shows the current figure and the change.
- 06
The breakdown
Assets split into accounts, investments, savings and manual assets; liabilities shown as debts. Each line is in your base currency, so you can see which part moved the total.
How it works
From your items to a dated net worth
The same five steps run every time you open the net worth page. Nothing is estimated: each figure comes from an account, a holding, a goal, an asset or a debt you entered.
- 01 →Collect assetsAccounts, portfolios, goals, manual assets
- 02 →ConvertEach item to your base currency at the date’s rate
- 03 →Subtract debtsAmount minus what you have paid, per debt

Reading the example
The car counts on both sides: its value as an asset and the loan as a liability. Paying the loan from the chequing account lowers an asset and a liability by the same amount, so net worth stays level on payment day. It rises when income stays in your accounts or investments gain, and falls when spending runs ahead of income or when you mark the car down to a lower value.
Save a snapshot on the same day each month, payday or the 1st, and the trend line shows whether the number moved and by how much. Our guide to tracking net worth over time covers how to read it.
Setup, time and price
What it takes to get your first figure
How long setup takes depends on how many accounts and debts you have. The total appears as soon as the first item is in, and it fills out as you add the rest.
- 01
Add accounts
Create each account in its own currency and enter the balance, or import a statement file. Canadian banks are covered on Finman in Canada.
- 02
Add debts
Enter each credit card, loan or mortgage with its balance; log payments as you make them.
- 03
Add what you own outside accounts
A home, a car, metals or a business as manual assets. Holdings go into the investment tracker so their prices refresh.
- 04
Save the first snapshot
This is your starting point. Save one each month after that.
- 05
Price
$0 now and $0 after the beta: the net worth tracker is in the Free plan. Full plan list on pricing.
Before you start
How the tracker behaves
Four details that decide how accurate your figure is.
- 01
Snapshots are saved by you
History builds from the snapshots you save. A monthly habit gives a clean trend; a missed month simply leaves a longer gap between two points.
- 02
Balances follow your data
monobank connects directly with a personal token. Other banks update when you import a fresh statement file or enter transactions by hand.
- 03
Prices refresh on request
Investment prices update when you press Refresh prices in Investments. Until a symbol has a quote, its value uses your buy price.
- 04
Your data stays with Finman
Everything is stored on Finman’s own server. It is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers, and the app has no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Details in the privacy policy.
