Subscription tracker · Open beta
Subscription tracker app that finds the charges for you
Import a few months of bank statements and press Find subscriptions in transactions. Finman lists every charge that repeats weekly, every two weeks, monthly or quarterly, with its monthly cost, and keeps the next payment date of each subscription in one list. Free during the open beta.
Short answer
Every repeating charge, with its monthly cost
Finman's subscription tracker scans the last 120 days of your expenses for charges with the same description, an amount within 20% of the usual and a regular gap between payments. Each match shows its cycle, how many times it was charged and its monthly cost, most expensive first, and one click adds it to your subscription list.

Detection, step by step
From a statement file to a subscription list
Card statements print the same service with changing numbers: order IDs, dates, the last digits of a card. Finman strips the digits and punctuation from each description first, so the payments for one service land in one group.
- 01 →ImportThree or four months of statements from each card and account.
- 02 →GroupExpenses with the same description once numbers are removed.
- 03 →TestAmounts within 20% of the median; gaps regular to within 35%.
- 04 →ListCycle, times charged, monthly cost. Most expensive first.
- 05You addOne click puts it on your list with a next payment date.
| Cycle | Gap between charges | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | 6–9 days | amount × 4.345 |
| Every two weeks | 12–16 days | amount × 2.17 |
| Monthly | 25–35 days | amount × 1 |
| Quarterly | 80–100 days | amount ÷ 3 |
A yearly charge appears once in 120 days, so the finder cannot see a pattern in it. Add domain names, antivirus, annual memberships and other yearly plans by hand with the Yearly cycle; they then count in your totals and get a next payment date like the rest.
Duplicate subscription detector
Charged twice, or charged more
Both flags sit under Transaction anomalies on the forecast page, next to unusually large transactions. How apps decide what is unusual: spending anomaly detection.
- 01
Duplicate charge
The same merchant takes the same amount twice within 3 days. A repeat within a day is marked high, within 2–3 days medium. The usual causes: a payment that went through twice, or one service billed on two cards.
- 02
Subscription price increase
An active subscription now costs 15% or more above the median of the payments you marked as paid. A rise of 25% is marked medium, 50% high. It needs at least two recorded payments to compare against.
- 03
Same service, two lines
Before you cancel anything, read the list for one service that appears twice. The common doubles are one service paid on two cards, bought through an app store and directly, or paid by two people in one household who could share a plan.

- 01
Next payment and due label
Every subscription shows its next payment date with Due today, in N days or Overdue by N days. Auto-renewing subscriptions roll forward to the next date on their own.
- 02
Paid, with history
Press Paid to log a payment; the next date moves on by one cycle and the payment joins the history that the price-rise check compares against.
- 03
Monthly and yearly totals
Active subscriptions are counted per month and per year, so a $13 monthly plan reads as $156 a year next to the rest.
- 04
In the forecast
Active subscriptions and recurring payments are placed on their due days in the balance forecast, which looks up to 90 days ahead.
- 05
Cancel or resume
Cancel subscription marks it cancelled in Finman and drops it from the totals; Resume brings it back. The cancellation itself is done with the service.
